The upgrade from the Global 5000, formerly named the Global XRS, the Global 6000 has a 51,000 foot cruising altitude, increased range, improved lighting and a better cabin layout. The increased range is achieved with an additional 1,486 lb/674 kg fuel tank mounted at the wing. The Global 6000 has been in service since 2006.
