The Citation XLS+ and its predessors, the Excel and XLS have been described as a “workhourse” for short-range charter operations since production started in 2000 with the Excel.. The first delivery of the new XLS+ was in 2008 and the entire Excel / XLS family of jets contains more that 575 aircraft in service. The XLS+ has a stand-up cabin and has the ability to land on short runways. The XLS+ is the first real makeover of the Excel / XLS in 2006. A revised nose design, avionics, dispalys, engines and engine controls were part of the makeover. for the XLS+ from its predessors.
